Spiritual Emphasis Week (SEW)
KCA holds a Spiritual Emphasis Week (SEW) annually that challenges students to make God their most vital source of life. We are blessed to see a number of students make renewed commitments to follow Jesus faithfully.
SEW is transformative for every part of KCA. SEW is schedule during the month of January each year, we altered schedule of classes for daily small group time; the week reinforces the value that the most important aspect of a KCA education is a worldview that is decidedly Christian.
Privilege levels are incentives to encourage students to maintain academic balance. Students are able to obtain different levels of privilege according to the number of paces completed, Scripture verses memorized, reports given, and Christian services performed. Field trips can be earned by the students who achieve privilege levels multiple times per quarter.
Students that pass three tests in each subject, and recite the monthly Bible Verse each quarter will obtain Honor Roll. Honor Roll students will be presented with a certificate during our Chapel service, and will receive a special award.
Field Trips are scheduled throughout the school year to further enhance student learning outside of the classroom. Details of upcoming field trips will be posted two-three weeks prior to scheduled event.
Regional and International Student Conventions are week-long events organized by our curriculum provider, Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.). Convention gives students, ages thirteen and older, a chance to compete in categories such as music, speech/drama, athletics, arts, and academics against students from other A.C.E. schools.
Regional Convention, for our region, is held every March in Palacios, Texas. International Convention is held every May in a different US city, as determined by A.C.E..
Homecoming Week is a great week for students, families and friends of KCA to build community show our school Lion spirit, compete in activities, give back and just have crazy fun!
At the end of the school year (May), KCA honors students that have demonstrated exceptional work.
We recognize and celebrate students graduating high school, middle school and from Pre-K and Kindergarten.
